1. Who We Are

dotyo. is a mood tracking app developed and operated by Dotyo. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at support@dotyoapp.com.

2. What Data We Collect

dotyo. is designed to collect as little data as possible. Here is what exists:

• Mood entries, notes, and tags — stored locally on your device only.
• App preferences — theme, language, notification settings — stored locally.
• Purchase information — if you subscribe to Premium, your transaction is processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat. We receive only an anonymous subscriber ID — never your name, email, or payment details.
• Device information — RevenueCat may collect anonymized device identifiers (e.g. iOS version, device type) solely for subscription management purposes.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, health data, or any behavioral analytics.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

All mood entries, notes, and app data are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. We have no servers that store your personal data.

If you enable Cloud Backup (Premium feature), your data is synced to your private iCloud container. This data is accessible only to you — Apple and dotyo. cannot read it.

4. Biometric Authentication

If you enable app lock, dotyo. uses Face ID or Touch ID via Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Your biometric data is processed entirely by iOS and is never accessed, stored, or transmitted by dotyo.

5. Notifications

dotyo. may send local notifications to remind you to log your mood. These are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.

6. Third-Party Services

dotyo. uses the following third-party service:

• RevenueCat — for subscription and purchase management. RevenueCat processes anonymized purchase data to validate your Premium subscription. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

We do not use any advertising networks, analytics platforms (e.g. Firebase, Mixpanel), crash reporting tools, or tracking SDKs.

7. Data Retention

Your mood data lives on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. If you delete the app, all local data is permanently removed. If you use iCloud Backup, data persists in your personal iCloud until you delete it manually.

RevenueCat retains anonymized subscription records in accordance with their own privacy policy and applicable law.

8. How to Delete Your Data

You can delete all your data at any time:

• In-app: Go to Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all entries from your device.
• Full removal: Delete the dotyo. app from your device. All local data is erased immediately.
• iCloud data: Go to iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → dotyo. → Delete Data.

9. Security

dotyo. uses iOS secure storage (Keychain and locally encrypted databases) to protect your data on-device. Biometric lock adds an additional layer of access control. Since we don't operate servers that store your personal data, there is no central database that could be breached.

10. Children's Privacy

dotyo. is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.

11. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access — you can export all your data from within the app at any time.
• Right to deletion — you can delete all your data as described in Section 8.
• Right to portability — exported data is provided in a standard format.
• Right to object — since we don't process your personal data for marketing or profiling, there is nothing to object to beyond what is described here.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
